Ahead of the development’s groundbreaking, we spoke with Witmer about what to expect at the North Shore’s newest luxury address.
How would you describe the architectural vision for Tower Court? The design draws inspiration from the surrounding historic buildings in the Hubbard Woods Design District. It reflects the scale and materials of the existing streetscape, incorporating brick, stone, stucco, slate and half-timbering. A private drive court off Green Bay Road will exude a European ambiance and create a serene environment bathed in natural light from above. The final design fits within the existing fabric of the town while providing a modern lifestyle that is not currently available on the North Shore.
The location puts owners steps away from numerous dining and shopping options. It is the playground for art, music and food lovers. The expansive, one-floor units will be designed with every desire in mind. This ultra-luxury lifestyle will be available to a select few. Its amenities will provide a maintenance- and worry-free living model. Will buyers have the option to customize their home? Each residence is 100% custom. Our structural system minimizes the number of columns, allowing for flexibility in floor plan layouts. Every owner will select their finishes and can work with their own interior designer to personalize the home. The size of the residences will also be flexible to accommodate each owner’s individual needs.
How does the design differ from what buyers might expect from traditional condominium living?
Tower Court condominiums are custom designed to each individual buyer, with large footprints, tall ceilings, intricate details, valuable materials, and large windows that allow the rooms to be bright and cheerful. With only 12 residences, each unit will have breathtaking views and expansive outdoor terraces, along with two designated heated underground parking spaces and the option for additional parking.
For buyers accustomed to single- family living on the North Shore, how does the design of Tower Court accommodate the sense of scale, privacy and lifestyle they value?
Spacious floor plans, typically exceeding 4,000 square feet, facilitate layouts that closely resemble those of single-family homes. The 9-foot-6-inch ceilings will provide ample volume, complemented by 8-foot- high doors and windows that contribute to the grandeur of the spaces while evoking the architectural style of large North Shore homes. Outdoor terraces provide substantial additional living and visual space, and the concrete floor structure ensures minimal sound transmission between residences.
What will be the defining features of the residences?
Tower court will be in the nucleus of downtown Hubbard Woods. This breathtaking piece of the North Shore is home to a vibrant, artistic and upscale mix of cafes, boutiques, ice cream parlors, furniture and art shops and many more unique businesses.
