Aspire On The Shore - Fall/Winter 2026

THE NEW UNIFORM: PREMIUM DENIM AND ELEVATED UTILITY On the Chanel runway, denim took center stage, reaffirming its place as the foundation of a modern winter wardrobe. Casual prestige was further cemented by Prada’s refined zip-up sweaters, while Chanel’s half-zips elevated familiar basics into statement pieces. “Winter on the North Shore is all about the perfect mix of function and style,” says Peyton Merrill, owner of Bunny & Babe in Winnetka. She recommends pairing luxurious knitwear from brands like Soft Goat Cashmere, Guest in Residence, and ARCH4 Cashmere with premium denim from Citizens of Humanity, AGOLDE, and Still Here. For evening, add a Blazé Milano blazer. Denim remains a standout at Glencoe's LuxLab, with new arrivals from Chimala and E.L.V. Denim ranging from classic straight-leg to modern barrel cuts. Subtle distressing adds a touch of downtown edge. Beneath the coat, think ultra-soft layers from Eterne and Leset, styled alongside architectural pieces from Simkhai, Rachel Comey, or Proenza Schouler. The quest for the perfect jean centers on innovative fabrications and visual interest. “The joy of this season lies in how easily these pieces blend into your existing wardrobe,” says Space519 co-founder Jim Wetzel. At Space519’s Wilmette location in Plaza del Lago, Toteme’s limited-edition patchwork style reflects the continued momentum behind premium denim.
